Dear Members,
I hope that you have a restful, relaxing and rejuvenating weekend. This email reminder comes a few days earlier than my usual email because I'm on my way to my own RRR weekend this afternoon and will be back next week.
"To thine own self be true" is the theme of our meeting next week. These are famous words from Hamlet, one of Shakespeare's characters. What did Shakespeare really mean by that? And how many of us stop to absorb the next line? "And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man."
In simple English, we can't really be true to anyone else unless we're true to ourselves.
Usually it's the opposite in our culture. We look after our partners, children, employees, co-workers, clients, aging parents etc. We have been so cultured to put the needs of others first that many of us don't have a clue about how to take care of ourselves!
PAUSE AND REFLECT
1. What aspects of your life are not true to your values?
2. Are you paying attention to signs from your body saying that you're tired and need to rest?
3. Is it hard to get up in the morning because you don't like your job?
4. Have you taken on too much responsibility?
I leave you to pause and reflect. BE TRUE TO YOURSELF!
Looking forward to see u in the next meeting. We have a few surprises in store for you.
